About Karin

“Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I carry this belief into my work as a counselor, drawing on the diversity of my own life experiences to support my clients with empathy and care. Born in Taiwan and raised in Canada, I have lived in Singapore, Taipei, Beijing, Bangkok, and Maastricht, and worked across fields as varied as law, international relations, business, technology, marketing, real estate, and education. My academic path led me from undergraduate studies in International Relations and English Literature to a combined law and master’s degree in international law, and later to a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.

My professional training is enriched by personal experience. I know firsthand the challenges of life transitions, the pain of separation and divorce, the weight of grief after sudden loss, and the complexities of adjusting to motherhood. Having journeyed through my own seasons of struggle and healing, I am able to meet my clients with compassion and understanding.

It is an honor for me to walk alongside clients as they navigate difficulty, discover resilience, and move toward healing and growth.
