EFT Certification Process
Important Information
Required EFT Training:
An ICEEFT-endorsed EFT Externship led by a Certified EFT Trainer: 24 hours over 4 days.
Core Skills Training led by a Certified EFT Trainer, 24 or 48 hours.
The EFT Certification Process:
Supervisor provides supervision to the therapist focusing on a specific modality attending to certification guidelines. (Minimum 8 hours.)
Supervisor reviews and approves two video examples demonstrating EFT macro and micro skills in specific modality.
Supervisor and therapist select one video example for trainer review.
Therapist submits selected video with case conceptualization, noting start and stop times if video is longer than the required 20 minutes, to ICEEFT on Hightail noting the trainer who has agreed to be invited to review. Please also note the supervisor's name and email address.
ICEEFT invites the trainer through Hightail.
Trainer provides feedback to the supervisor.
Supervisor and therapist reviews trainer feedback.
Supervisor reviews therapist certification documentation (per the certification checklist), with the Supervisor completing and signing the certification checklist.
Supervisor sends certification documentation (please do not include video, consent or conceptualization) and signed checklist/recommendation to certification@iceeft.com. (Please do not upload to Hightail.)
ICEEFT reviews documentation, issues certificate and updates therapist status.
When review has been completed, an email will be sent to the therapist and supervisor of certification.
